Chef turned farmer Steve MacLean began his food journey over 20 years ago, training at the French Culinary Institute and working in top New York City restaurants. Fueled by his passion for food and the farm-to-table movement, Steve and his wife Candice turned to farming in 2011. Raising a young family with two small children, the MacLean's wanted to embark on a mission to provide good, healthy food for their family. What began as a love of food quickly turned into a new lifestyle for Steve, Candice and their growing family, driven by a need to provide healthy food to his community, and to know where that food comes from.
The family farm is located on 180 acres in the mountains of northern New Jersey. We raise 100% grass-fed beef, pasture-raised pork, free-range chickens & ducks, and all-natural breed turkeys. Our pigs and poultry are given supplemental feed that we make fresh on our farm weekly using 100% non-GMO, locally grown grains, and organic minerals/supplements. Our animals are never given antibiotics or hormones, and they live their lives outdoors on pasture, the way nature intended them to. We also grow USDA certified organic fruits, vegetables, flowers, and herbs. All our products are available at our on-site farm market open Friday - Sunday in season.
